NEW Production Team Looking for 2D Animators

I’ve started an Animation Club for the San Diego area in conjunction with a local city college. It’s already up-and-running with an aspiring production team, for which I’m a creative consultant and overseer (plus working on character development and story dept.). If you want to start a group in your area please feel free to post it on this thread! It certainly doesn't have to start out as aspiring production, however fan-based groups can be natural launching spots for creative teams and places for aspiring artists to meet each other.

If you hold meetings conveniently at peoples’ homes rather than public places, I suggest your group hold an occasional meeting at a public place for welcoming new members. Anyone who’s still uncomfortable with this should simply take some friends with them for their first visit.

If there’s not a group like this in your area, I encourage you to start one. Local community papers usually offer free weekly ads for community functions, plus there’s Craigslist and local art schools, colleges and universities you can work with in getting your group going.
