The warmth of that realization doesn't prevent the Hosts from squabbling and behaving as insanely as they did in the first episodes, but it gives the series a balance that keeps it from feeling too silly. Although Ouran High School Host Club only ran for a single season, its popularity on both sides of the Pacific may well lead to sequels.
