An excellent film for children

This is a film version of Roald Dahl's book of the same title. The story is slightly abbreviated, but the film version is beautifully filmed, acted and directed. Watching Jeremy Irons with his son, Samuel (who plays the title role) is a delight. It is a great pity that it is not available in Region One on DVD, and hard to get even on VHS in North America.
