Rating: 3 out of 5 stars - Great content, but that's all
After watching 2 of these videos (1 and 8), I learned a good amount of the fundamentals of boxing. It contains info on footwork, punching types and basic combos. I fully intend to watch the rest of the series, however I do not look forward to Chris' presentation style or the video production quality. The overall feel of this video was "home made" and Chris' onscreen presence is rather flat. This wasn't helped by his training partner who remained completely silent throughout the entire movie. It could have benefited from real world samples, dynamic camera work and an interactive training partner(s) (not to mention a personality injection).

If you want the info and don't care how it's delivered, this series may be what you're looking for. I hope Chris learns a few lessons from this first series and produces something more digestable in the near future.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - the best

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Boxing Made Easy
With no prior experience I have been able to develope some decent boxing skills with this DVD. It's a nice quality program that is easy to follow covering all the basics for building a strong boxing foundation. I like the way the Coach demonstrates the dangers of doing a technique wrong and how your opponent can take advantage of your mistakes if you mess up. It really hits home on the importance of all the little things you must perfect to avoid getting hit while sparring. Good boxing gyms and coaches are hard to find but with this DVD brings a great coach right to your home. I like that.

Rating: 1 out of 5 stars - This is basically a do-it-yourself DVD, way overpriced in my opinion
The information in the dvd is quite good, but it is home-made DVD that anyone with some DVD software and a video camera could make. There are no menus and it some of the discs are just DVD-Rs with a computer printed sticker label. The editing is awful, sometimes it will just cut off in the middle of a sentence. And there's no chapters. For this price I would expect a much more professional DVD. If it was half the price, it would totally justify the content-- hence the low rating. Let the buyer beware!

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Boxing Fundamentals First
I also have 4 of the Getz Ultimate Boxing DVDs with the Fundamentals being my favorite. Beginning Boxers will want to master this lesson first since it builds your boxing skills for all the other techniques to follow. What is impressive about all his lessons is Getz attention to the small details behind every technique needed for achieving optimum power and execution. Coach Getz has done a fine job with the information and presentation on a sport few people have true knowledge of. These are great looking shows with excellent production quality that everyone interested in the sport should have in their reference library. I look forward to getting all titles in this series.
