Rating:  - 90-minute Simpsons episodeWhat to say, what to say... Basically, it's a 90-minute Simpsons episode. And it's done exactly the way a movie of a TV show should be done: take everything that's good about the show and make it more. There's no attempt to change it into something it's not, and no additions to try to grab a new audience. It stays true to its TV roots and audience. The Simpsons Movie is just plain fun. And basically, if you like the show, you'll like the movie. If you don't, you won't. Rating:  - Wonderful movie!This is a very enjoyable and funny movie. It is just like one of the good Simpsons episode, with continuous hilarity! A must buy for Simpsons fans! Rating: - True to the seriesNot exactly Sophie's Choice, but if you're looking for that, you're obviously in the wrong place. My family are all die-hard Simpsons fans. The movie was true to the spirit of the series. Lots of gags, both straightforward and inside jokes related to the series. If you like the Simpsons, you'll enjoy this. If you're lukewarm to the Simpsons series, you might want to skip this. Rating: - I'll teach you to laugh at things that are funny!Comparable to a good episode of the TV show, with the added benefit of Spider-Pig. Recommended for watchers of the TV show, a skip to anyone who's not. This won't convert the non-fans, but it's a fun ride for those who are even casual fans of the Simpsons. Rating: - The Simpsons MovieIm a HUGE Simpsons fan, since the first episodes, seasons 4-11 were the best . The movie is surprisingly good, i laughed a lot in the theather and every time i watch the dvd i laugh again, just like i do in the re-runs. I thought it would be a looong episode, but it turned out better. The DVD is cool, i loved the menus, the video quality is great. The only thing i dont like is the American Idol extras, im tired of those... And theres no Making of Documentary... Everything else is good. |
